Medium-term forecast for natural gas demand

In late 2009 the CNE published its Framework Report on demand for electrical energy and natural gas, and coverage for this. Year 2009.  Chapter 3 is entitled Forecast Energy Demand. This chapter analyses the situation seen in 2009, the expected change in GDP and its influence on demand for electricity and gas, and ends with a forecast scenario running up to 2013.

In the case of natural gas, the Central Scenario estimates that demand will reach 457.9 TWh in 2013, with an average annual increase of 0.4% on the figure of 2008.  If we take the 2009 figures as our starting point, the annual rate of increase up to 2013 would be 3.3%.
