Tariff of Last Resort ('TUR')

As indicated in the 2008 report, the drop in the price of crude in the final months of 2008 and the downturn in gas prices on the spot market will probably lead to a decline in gas prices..

In 2009 the tariff of last resort was modified on 1 January, 1 July and 1 October. The variable (energy) quota fell on three occasions, ending the year 27.4% lower than the figure at the close of 2008 in the case of the TUR 1 tariff (consumption equal to or less than 5000 kWh/year). For TUR 2 (consumption between 5000 and 50,000 kWh/year) the drop was similar: 26.6 %.

The fixed quota did see an increase over this period, of 3.90 euros per month for TUR 1 and 7.84 euros per month for TUR 2 on 1 October 2009, a figure which has also remained in place from 1 January 2010 onwards.
